Antique silver sauce ladle with a smooth handle and bowl and a scallop detail to the handle. The moderate size makes it most suitable for sauces or maybe fruit compotes. Very clearly hallmarked with date marks for Glasgow assay office 1827 and makers mark for William Russell. In great antique condition with just light surface marks to the bowl, commensurate with age.
This would make a beautiful and useful wedding gift, and a lovely addition to any formal dining table.
