A very attractive and stylish matching silver Cream Jug and Sugar Bowl. The style oozes 1920's with circular bowls and a neat gadrooned border to the top edge and the circular stand at the base. The cream jug has one decorative handle on one side the and the sugar bowl has two handles either side. Each has a neat initial 'F' engraved (this engraving does not detract from the appearance of the items as is stylish and smart). Clear hallmarks are visible on both for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1927, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and silver maker's mark for Henry Clifford Davis. The retailer's mark is also stamped on the base 'Sorley Glasgow'.
