A superb solid silver salver, beautifully decorated with a wavy-line border around the circumference of the dish in the wonderful Lindisfarne pattern, with a splendid plain polished silver centre. The dish stands on four scroll feet and is a plain polished silver. Very clear and crisp hallmarks are visible on the back for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1973 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also very clear for the renowned silversmiths: Garrard & Co Ltd.
A true example of beauty - the Lindisfarne pattern is exceptional and the shape is so very stylish! Could be used as a Trophy for presentation purposes.
Condition: In lovely collector's condition. There are some very tiny surface scratches that are only visible when the dish is moved in certain angles and because the surface is so highly polished; they are mentioned for accuracy only and do not detract from this item.
