A very lovely silver Christening Mug.  The proportions are perfect and the engraving to the body of the Mug is exquisite  with flowers and pretty swirls and borders.  It stands on one circular foot and has an ornate handle that perfectly suits.  On the base of the Mug are the very clear hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark  for 1870 , Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver, and the silver maker's mark:  Richards & Brown. There is a lightly engraved monogram on the front (see images).

Condition:  In lovely condition (there is a very slight impression to the silver on one side, which we  mention for accuracy).
