A beautifully and ornately decorated, large sized (width 9 1/2 inches) solid silver dish. The decoration is a flurry of flowers and leaves and pierced segments around the body of the dish with a gorgeous border of flowers and shells. The base is a plain polished silver. Clear hallmarks are visible to the inside base for The Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1921, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's mark for Joseph Rodgers & Sons. On the base underneath are the printed number 3564 1/4.
A fabulous piece that would look stunning displayed on a dining table or sideboard, also very useful due to the large size.
