An unusual and most attractive Ebony and silver trinket box.  This nicely shaped rectangular box is hinged at the back and opens and closes nicely to reveal a padded purple velvet interior to the inside base.  The top of the lid is decorated with two nicely engraved silver corners (one of the corners has a very slight dent to the silver - see images).  The word Trinkets in silver is placed across the centre (there is a very slight lift to the swirl that sits under the word).  Hallmarks are visible on the letter 'T' of the word and also partial marks can be seen on both the silver corners, for the London Assay office with a date mark 1920 and Lion Passant along with the maker's mark:  A.N  The underneath of the box is stamped 'Ebony - made in England'

A lovely box.  Great as a gift for a special occasion.
