Edwardian 18ct gold pocket watch style locket hallmarked London 1904 Fred Thoms
This Edwardian locket is beautifully slim, with a top push button opening like a pocket watch. It opens to reveal a complete rimmed glass compartment to enable a photograph or keepsake to be encased. The locket closes perfectly. The back is a lovely smooth plain polished gold which is a fabulous deep yellow as it is 18ct gold.
Fully hallmarked on the inside London 1904 Fred Thoms, who was a watch case maker, with part marks to the front section & the top loop.
We were told this was a wedding gift for a bride on her wedding day with the date engraved on the inside '7th January 1908'. The front is also engraved with ornate initials but it could be worn with the plain polished surface to the front if desired.
A beautiful item of Edwardian jewellery, aesthetically it is gorgeous & the quality is evident.
