A fine Edwardian, solid silver stamp case, in the form of an envelope. The hinged lid opens to allow placement of stamps inside. On the right hand top corner there is a loop for attachment.
When the hinged lid is opened clear hallmarks are revealed for The Birmingham Assay Office and a date mark for 1902. There are also maker's marks, for the silversmiths: Gourdel Vales & Co and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.
Condition: This stamp case is in very good antique condition. The hinge works perfectly. There are some very minor dents to the silver
