An elegant, vintage silver Butter Dish with glass insert. The silver is beautifully decorated with pierced design . It stands on four neat ball feet and has a glass insert in which to place the butter. On the underneath of the dish are the clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1953 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The maker's mark is also clear: Barker Brothers Silver Ltd.
A lovely addition to a dining table. The Dish is in very nice condition (there are some marks to the interior of the silver - please see images for detail). The glass is in lovely condition with no chips whatsoever.
