What can only be described as an exquisite solid silver Trinket Box!  This box is circular in shape.   The pull off lid is decorated with very pretty engraving and is embellished with a beautiful wavy edge border.  The body of the box is a lovely plain polished silver.  Very clear hallmarks are visible to the underneath of the box,  for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1907 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.    The silver maker's mark is also clearly visible for:  Henry Matthews.  Partial hallmarks can also be seen on the lid lip.

When opened, a the lovely lemony gilt interior is displayed on the underside of the lid and the interior.

The box is nicely proportioned measuring 3.2 cm height and 6 cm diameter width. As well as being beautifully ornamental is practical to house special trinkets!

This is a very special box, with beautiful decoration.  It is in lovely condition (there is some age related wear to the base in the form of some small impressions to the surface which we mention for accuracy only).
