A very fine and sturdy heavy gauge solid silver toast rack. In lovely Art Deco style, the rectangular shape with curved top is a stylish design feature. Four good sized compartments, in which to stand the toast make it a practical item. It stands on four feet and has a nicely shaped handle to the top. Very clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1935 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also very clear and crisp: T&J. P.
