A very fine silver, large size, Salt Spoon.   This plain polished spoon has an engraved monogram at the top of the handle and clear hallmarks are visible on the back for the Exeter Assay Office with a date mark for 1863, along with the Lion Passant and silver maker's mark: Josiah Williams & Co    The spoon bowl has a gilt finish.

A lovely salt spoon, and extra special as the hallmark is Exeter; it is in great condition.
