A most attractive solid silver Sauce Boat in a Georgian style.  This lovely sauce boat is a plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing.  It has a lovely decorative handle and sits on three sturdy hoof feet. The rim has a scalloped edge which adds to the charm of the shape.  Very clear hallmarks are visible to the underneath for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1958 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.  The maker's marks is also clear for the silversmith:  William Comyns & Sons Ltd.

A lovely item would grace any dinner table beautifully. It sits nice and sturdy on its feet and is a good heavy gauge of silver and nicely sized.  Very practical as well as beautiful!
