A superb solid silver tea strainer and stand, beautifully designed.   This nicely pierced strainer bowl has two beautifully decorated handles either side.  The bowl sits on the circular stand, which has a tray to the base to catch residue drips and three upright supports with a circular support to hold the strainer in position. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1916 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the silver maker's marks for Harrison Brothers & Howson.

A most attractive tea strainer; and a very practical item. Would make a wonderful gift.
