A fine large size silver vesta case in convex style.  The case is decorated with pretty engraved columns to the front and back and there is an empty rectangular cartouche on one corner.  (Some of this light engraving is slightly worn to one side, on the front of the vesta case).  The lid is hinged on one side and opens to reveal a gilded interior and clear hallmarks are visible on the inside lip for the Chester Assay Office with a date mark for 1928, Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the makers marks: E.J Trivett & Sons.

This is an impressive vesta and a good heavy weight, feels nice to hold in the hand.

Condition:  An elegant vesta, in a good antique condition (with some wear to the pattern in the front).
