Fine pair of early silver sugar tongs made by the renowned silversmiths Peter & William Bateman. The tongs are a plain polished silver with a pretty monogram engraved at the top; initial 'AB'. These George III tongs are hallmarked London 1808 with the maker's marks Peter & William Bateman.
