An elegant and sturdy large silver Sugar Bowl.  The bowl has two decorative twin handles either side of the oblong shaped body.  The lower half of the bowl is a gadrooned pattern and  features a neat ornamental rim at the top.  Clear hallmarks are visible on one side next to the handle for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1897, along with the Lion Passant indicating finest sterling and the maker's mark for the renowned silversmith:  William Neal.

This is an impressive, good sized sugar bowl and would grace any tea tray or dining table;  in great condition.
