A large sized, sterling silver Anointing Spoon. The spoon is hallmarked London 1936 by the silver maker Wakely & Wheeler. These spoons were made as a souvenir of the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. It is a complete replica of the Coronation Spoon of the British Crown Jewels and a similar size to the original (which was originally designed in the 12th century in gold).
A fabulous item of silver. Great for a collector!
