A very attractive large Victorian Fruit Knife.  The blade is solid silver and is fully hallmarked for the Sheffield Assay office with a date mark for 1895 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver.  The maker's mark is also clearly visible:  Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd.  To add to the allure of this item, the handle is a lovely engraved mother of pearl.  There is a silver cartouch with initials on one side.  The blade opens and closes nicely.
