The nicely proportioned ebony pot has a screw top lid with with an engraved silver plaque and vacant cartouche. The mounted silver design on the lid is hallmarked for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1920 and silver maker's mark: Parry & Eels and marked 'Ebony' to the bottom of the hair tidy.
