A very pretty silver Trinket Box, rectangular wavyline in shape and with a beautifully engraved hinged lid with swags and bows patterns. The sides of the box are a plain polished silver. The base is covered with a brown velveteen baize material. The interior of the box is a turquoise blue material (this is not original and has been added later).
Hallmarks are visible just under the lid on the lip of one side of the box for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1913 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also visible: Sir John Bennett Ltd.
Condition: In very good condition. There are some very light surface marks on the front side of the box and a small impression near the centre of the lid which we mention for accuracy.
