An excellent and very rare Edwardian baby's silver rattle incorporating a whistle (which is very unusual) and coral teether.  The rattle has four jingly bells and is nicely decorated.  To the top, is a whistle and the teether handle is made from lovely deep peach coloured coral.  Hallmarks are visible on one side of the silver for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1901 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver .  The marker's mark is also clearly visible  for the silver maker:  C E Williams.

This item is a wonderful collector's piece and a great gift idea for Christening, new baby.  Unusual and in fabulous condition.
