A handsome solid silver Cigarette Case. The attractive engine turned pattern to the front and back resembles an envelope. On the front there is a central cartouche with initials engraved 'HBV'. Hinged on one side, the case opens with two push buttons. When open the case reveals a gilt wash finish. There is an original elastic to keep the cigarettes in place. Hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1927 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker's mark is also clear: Charles S Green & Co Ltd.
Condition: In very good condition. There are some light impessions to the front and back of this case.
