A splendid, large and very fine solid silver sauce boat.  Lovely design, standing on three ornate hoof feet with shell detail and with a very elegant handle. The hallmarks and maker's marks are clearly visible just below the handle for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1934, Lion Passant and clear maker's mark: Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.  The retailer's mark is also stamped on the base.

This is a superior sauce boat, it is a heavy gauge silver and a most elegant design.  The silver is in great condition with no nicks or dents. (There is some very slight surface scratching to the inside base of the sauce boat, commensurate with age and mentioned for accuracy only.)
