A superbly stylish solid silver sauce boat in a very distinctive art deco style.  This sauce boat is a truly wonderfully sophisticated design. In a plain polished silver, the only decoration being a neat protruding, stylishly art deco border.  It stands on a single oval foot.  Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1941 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker's marks for renowned silversmith Goldsmiths & Silvermiths is also clearly visible. 

This is an exceptional item of silver.  It feels good to hold in the hand.  It is also very sturdy and practical. The craftmanship of the maker is evident!

Condition:   In great antique collector's  condition.
