A very fine Edwardian solid sterling silver loving cup / christening mug.  In splendid style, this cup is a gorgeous simply plain polished silver, beautifully shaped design with two elegant ridged loop handles either side which add to the lovely sophisticated shape. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side of the cup near to the handle, for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1909 and Lion Passant.  The silver maker's mark is also clear for the silversmith Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.

A wonderfully modish item for the Edwardian era.  In lovely condition with no dents or dings.  Would make a perfect gift for a loved one, wedding or christening!  Stands nice and straight and is a good heavy gauge of silver.
