A stylish solid silver vesta case. Both the front and back are smartly decorated with engine turned decoration featuring columns of stripes and there is an empty circular cartouche in the centre. The lid is hinged to one side and there is a loop at the side for attachment.
Hallmarks are clearly visible on the inside lip of the vesta case for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1912 and maker's marks WJ Myatt & Co. The Lion Passant is also visible indicating the finest sterling silver.
This Vesta case feels good to hold in the hand. It has a nice gilt interior and is a good weight.
Condition: In very good condition (some very slight surface scratches mentioned only for accuracy).
