A superior solid silver Christening Mug in super antique collector's condition clearly hallmarked Sheffield 1912, along with the Lion Passant indicating fine sterling, and showing the silver maker's mark:  James Deakin & Sons.  The design features a handsome fluted pattern to the lower half of the shaped body and has a flared rim.  It stands on an attractive pedestal foot and has a lovely scroll handle to one side. The interior has a light gilt wash finish, further enhancing the appearance.  The Mug bears no engraving.  The lovely fluid shape is perfectly balanced and feels nice in the hand .    A superb piece of the finest quality associated with a fine maker.

Lovely gift for new baby!
