A markedly superior large and very fine solid silver sauce boat. Beautifully designed; standing on four ball feet with a neat gadrooned border around the edge, and with the most wonderful and unusual handle in the form of a Dragon, The hallmarks and maker's marks are clearly visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1917, Lion Passant and clear maker's mark: Elkington & Co Ltd.
This is a fine sauce boat, it is a heavy gauge silver and a most elegant design. The interior has a lovely deep gold gilt finish, which further enhances the appearance of the item. The silver is in great condition with no nicks or dents.
