A very unusual solid heavy gauge silver Toast Rack, which comes in the form of a stylized Viking long boat.  It is a grand heavy weight and sits sturdy on a table.  Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the London Assay Office with a date mark: 1937, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the silver maker's mark for the renowned silversmiths:  Goldsmiths & Silversmiths.  It is also stamped with the silversmith's stamp and address.

A rare item in great antique collector's condition, by a very acclaimed maker,  would make a perfect gift!
