Unusual octagonal silver napkin ring hallmarked Birmingham 1932 by Smith & Bartlam. Engraved initial 'A'

A fabulous very heavy gauge, silver napkin ring in the form of a octagonal rectangle   The napkin has an engine turned pattern around the top and bottom with a plain band wrapped around the centre.  On the front the initial 'A' is nicely engraved. 

Clear hallmarks are visible on the inside for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1932, Lion Passant and makers mark for Smith & Bartlam.

Condition:  In very good antique condition.

Measurements:  Height 2.4 cm.  Width:  5.2 cm.  Depth:  2.9 cm.

Weight:  40 grams
