A most unusual and very attractive Victorian silver Cream Jug. Baluster shaped and standing on a single circular foot, the jug is beautifully embossed with signs of the Zodiac and pretty engraved leaves. It has a nicely shaped handle on one side . The interior of the jug has a lovely pale yellow gilt finish, which further enhances the lovely appearance. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1892 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the maker's mark for the silversmith Charles Stuart Harris.
A rare cream jug, and in great antique collector's condition.
Would make a lovely gift and grace a tea tray beautifully!
