A handsome Edwardian silver Vesta Case. The case is unusual, being rectangular pillow shaped and has pretty scroll engraving to the back and floral engraving to the front with a vacant cartouche in the centre. Hinged on one side the Vesta opens and closes perfectly and reveals the hallmarks on the inside lip for the Birmingham Assay office with date mark for 1905 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the maker's mark for the silversmith: Joseph Gloster
Aesthetically pleasing on the eye in in great condition (some slight surface scratching to the polished silver mentioned only for accuracy).
