Victorian 18ct gold diamond ring hallmarked Birmingham 1876 Size N
An elegant Victorian 18ct gold ring with a central red spinel flanked by two diamonds. The stones are set in an elliptical motif in a slanting panel of smooth gold. The rest of the band incorporates classical style ribbed/reeded details to the shoulders culminating in a horizontal band with scroll decoration. The rest of the band is plain and smooth, narrowing just slightly towards the base.It is a very well balanced design with colour, sparkle and classic appeal.
Hallmarked as 18 ct gold by the Birmingham Assay Office, dated 1876. The registered design number is also marked inside the band.
