A superb large Victorian solid silver gravy basting / stuffing spoon.  This lovely spoon is in super condition.  It is a very heavy gauge of silver. Designed in the fiddle pattern, the plain polished silver spoon bears an heraldic lion passant lightly engraved to the top. On the back of the spoon are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1853, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the silver maker's mark:  George Adams.

A super spoon with all kinds of uses - wonderful to enhance a dressed dining table setting and very practical. Would make a great wedding gift, or for any occasion!
