Vintage large oval silver locket hallmarked Birmingham 1978. A super sized locket with lovely engraving covering the front in swirling leafy motifs, and crisp details which really catch the light. The locket is hinged along one side an opens to reveal two spaces for photographs, held in place with silver rims which pop in and out easily. The locket comes with a 21.5" chain marked 925 indicating sterling silver..
The reverse is smooth silver and bears the Birmingham Assay Office mark, with date letter for 1978 and it is marked 'Sterling Silver' and intitials J A M for makers J A Main Ltd.
