A wonderful Edwardian silver menu/card holder in the form of an owl. The owl has fabulous glass eyes and stands on a circular base with the lip for holding a menu or card at the back. A small sculpture in its own right!
The very clear hallmarks are visible to the circular base for the Birmingham Assay Office with date mark for 1909 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker's mark is also clear for Crisford & Norris,
An enchanting item in good antique collector's condition, with only some indentations to the underside of base.
