A very fine, vintage solid silver pint mug / tankard.  A lovely plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing.  It stands on one circular foot and has a handsome handle to one side.  On one side near to the handle are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1971 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The maker's mark is also very clear for the renowned silversmiths:  James Dixon & Sons Ltd.
A fine tankard  and a good heavy gauge of silver would make a perfect gift for a special birthday, or a great christening gift!
