Antique silver double sovereign case by Aaron Lufkin Dennison with hallmarks for Birmingham 1911.
This stylish double sovereign case features two spring loaded compartments for gold sovereigns and these function superbly. To the outside there is engine turned engraving across the top and bottom with a vacant central circular cartouch to the centre of the top. The hinged design has a spring loaded frame and a push button release clasp. There is a loop to the side so it can be hung from a pocket watch chain.
Fully hallmarked to the inside of the lid for maker Aaron Lufkin Dennison Birmingham 1911 and each sovereign holder rim has a date mark.
A very tactile piece, In lovely antique conditon, with only some light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age.
