A superb solid silver sauceboat in a Greecian style. Standing on one oval predestal foot, and decorated around the top edge with a neat border. The handle is utterly stunning and in the form of an asp snake. The interior of the sauce boat is gilded, which further enhances the sheer appearance of quality and beauty. Very clear hallmarks are visible on one side for London 1997, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's mark: WW.
Although vintage rather than antique, this sauce boat is exceptional, in appearance, condition and quality - definately an antique of the future. It is also a very heavy gauge silver, weighing 284 grams and is perfectly proportioned.
Would make a fabulous gift for a wedding, or any occasion!
