A striking and unusual vintage silver and enamel butterfly brooch in the shape of a leaping salmon. The enamel is beautifully detailed and the fish has well defined scales in a silvery grey and deep blue enamel defining the tail and fins, all edged with silver. The salmon has a lovely beady eye in gold and black and is very realistically rendered.
Hallmarked as silver Edinburgh 1991 with makers mark CMS.
A super brooch for an angler and in a versatile colour with broad appeal. This would make a lovely tie pin.
