A very pretty and romantic Art Nouveau heart shaped silver pin dish. The centre of dish features the head and shoulders of an elegant lady surrounded by flowers in typically Art Nouveau style. This repousse panel shows up in relief on the reverse of the dish. The edge has a pretty waved pattern and a turned over rim.
Hallmarked as sterling silver on the inner edge for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1903. The makers mark of Henry Matthews is still legible, though worn.
A superb dish in good conditon which would make a striking addition to any collection of art nouveau silver
