A beautifully carved Black Forest Retriever dog. The dog stands on a carved outcrop in retrieving position, and this characteristic is clearly visible on the face of the dog. The superb carving is very realistic and representation of the face, fur, legs and body are naturalistic and very detailed. The colour and patina of the wood adds to the wonderful overall appearance of this carving.
