A delightful solid silver egg cup and spoon set in its original case. The egg cup is very attractive with a lovely gilt interior, simply styled with a raised border around the top and the base of the stand. The spoon is in a very smooth undecorated classic style. Hallmarks are visible on both the egg cup and the spoon for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1990. The silversmith's maker's mark is also clear for W I Broadway & Co.The set comes in the original blue leatherette case with guilded scroll decoration to the lid, and has an attractive brass catch. The interior is lined with blue velvet and white satin.
