Very fine, rare and collectable Edwardian solid silver vesta case in circular form. Unusually, the lid is fastened with a circular pin, which enables opening with a pivot motion, enabling rotation to one side. Clear hallmarks are visible on the body of the Vesta for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1905, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and a patent mark and number. Maker's mark is also visible for the renowned silversmith: William Neale. There are also partial hallmarks on the lid.
A fabulous vesta case for a collector, in great antique condition. A rare find! (Some very slight surface scratching to the silver which we mention for complete accuracy and are commensurate with age).
