A very rare solid silver stamp case in the form of a purse.  Circular in shape, in plain polished silver,  this exquisite case has a clasp closure and is hinged. It is engraved 'stamps' to the face. When opened the silver gilt interior is revealed  with a stamp compartment. Hallmarks are visible on both sides of the interior for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1906, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the silvermaker's mark:  Rotherham & Sons.

An exquisite item, very unusual and in super antique collector's condition. (There are some very fine surface scratches commensurate with age and mentioned only for complete accuracy).

A wonderful item for a collector!

Hallmarks:  Birmingham 1906 by Rotherham & Sons.
