A vintage silver pin dish designed to commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. Simply styled as a shallow dish with gently curved sides. The rim is pinched in forming six petal shapes.
The centre of the dish has an impressed circular stamp of the Queen's head, with the wording Silver Jubilee 1952 - 1977, Queen Elizabeth II. This repousse panel shows up in relief on the reverse of the dish. Large feature hallmarks are impressed around the inside of the dish.
Hallmarked as sterling silver on the inner edge for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1903. The makers mark of Henry Matthews is still legible, though worn.
A superb dish in good conditon which would make a striking addition to any collection of art nouveau silver
