A superb solid silver sugar sifter, classically styled with smooth polished sides. The sifter lid is pierced with simplified heraldic shapes: chevrons, circles and arrows, and topped with a reeded finial. Neat beading to the rim adds interest and the foot is ribbed. This is a classic design which would add style to any table, and could also be repurposed to hold pot pourri.
Hallmarked on the body of the sifter as sterling silver by the London Assay Office, with the date letter for 1912 and makers mark for Robert Stebbings.
